Research description

RF photonic signal processing has been well studied in the past decades for microwave and millimetre-wave. More interestingly, due to potentially very large bandwidth (THz) of photonic approach, photonics has high potential in generating, receiving, beamsteering and filtering of ultra-broadband RF signals, with a capability of handling THz frequency range above 300 GHz. This research line intends to develop key enabling technology for processing millimeter-wave and THz signals, as well as to explore key innovative nano-devices for ultrafast signal processing.
